🇨🇦 Pragmatic Play Live Casinos & Games
Pragmatic Play was founded on the European island of Gibraltar back in 2015. They originally focused on slots and RNG table games.
However, in 2018 they took over live developer Extreme Live Gaming. They used the formers studios and staff, plus some ex-employees of live casino top dog Evolution Gaming, to create an entirely new and upgraded live casino experience.
Although not quite the best of the best just yet, Pragmatic Play have crafted a quality set of basic live casino tables. They’re also adding to their portfolio with new games each year.
Pragmatic’s upgraded live tables have super quality streaming, custom built studios in Bucharest, Romania, and professional live dealers who speak great English and are fun to interact with.

Why Are They Blacklisted
🎮 Pragmatic Play Live Table Previews
🤵Our Experience at Pragmatic Play's Tables
Pragmatic Play’s tables are, in a word, solid. They have the basics nailed down almost perfectly. You might not find flashy side bets, pop-culture licenses, or unique mechanics. However, what you do get is a great experience in roulette, blackjack or baccarat.
Great HD streaming. Multiple camera angles. Simple betting interfaces. An easy to use lobby system when switching games.
All the fundamentals that you want from a live casino service are present and correct with Pragmatic Play.
Since 2018 they’ve also added a few cool features. For example, you can play live roulette or blackjack at two separate tables – in the same window. Obviously if you have a slow connection, this might not work too well for you. But for those who can, this might be an interesting option to fit more hands in.
♠️ Stream Quality
Superb. Pragmatic’s cameras actually shoot in 4k, which is a rare one for live casinos.
Only the newest monitors and mobile devices can actually show 4K and it will be more of a strain on your internet.
However, if you’ve got a 4K screen, and a good connection, Pragmatic offers you the crispest live casino experience you’re likely to find online.
For most of us peasants though, the HD streams will certainly be good enough. Pragmatic are easily on a level with the best live casino providers for Canadian players with their stream quality, if not slightly better.
Plenty of their games even have multiple camera angles to create a more cinematic experience, in roulette for example.
♠️ Game Variety
Game variety is no doubt the weakest point in Pragmatic Play’s live casino offering.
They’ve only been focusing on live dealer content for a couple of years, so you can’t really hold it against them. However, the fact remains they don’t have that many games at this point.
The full list of Pragmatic Play tables is:
- Mega Sic Bo
- Auto Roulette
And that’s the complete list. Even with six different blackjack tables and a few in roulette, that comes nowhere to the collections of Evolution, Playtech or even Ezugi.
Which is a shame because Pragmatic could have a top-tier offering with a few more games.
For example, there’s no Common Draw or Unlimited blackjack tables here. These are somewhat standard at live casinos today, as they mean no-one has to wait for a seat if all the blackjack tables are full.
There is a bet-behind option, but this is rarely the way most people would choose to play.
To counter that, Pragmatic has made all their blackjack tables open to multi seat play. In effect though, this is actually worse. That’s because one player can take up three seats when there already aren’t too many available.
Hopefully, an Infinite Blackjack table is something they’ll look to add soon.
With Mega Sic Bo that launched in 2020, offering multiplier prizes of 1000x or more on certain combos, Pragmatic have demonstrated their commitment to keep expanding their live casino selection.
Expect to see more titles added in the future. They might just be able to turn Pragmatic’s very good live casino offering into a great one.
♠️ Dealer Interaction
As with most live casino developers from Europe, bar Evolution’s newest US-based studio, Pragmatic’s live dealers are nearly all Eastern European. Which makes sense seeing as their studio is based in Bucharest, Romania.
However, Pragmatic knows their market – so every live dealer speaks very good to completely fluent English. Many young Romanians are also well traveled, so you might hear one or two North American flavored accents in there as well.
Pragmatic Play tables are also less likely to be full, as they are a relatively new and growing company. There’s no Crazy Town or Lightning Roulette with 3000 concurrent players here.
That means each individual player has more chances to chat to and a form some kind of repartee with Pragmatic’s live dealers. They’re all friendly, professional, and more than willing to exchange a few words with the players at their tables.
Since they only started taking live casino development seriously in 2018, Pragmatic’s options are designed from the ground up for mobile play.
The camera quality automatically switches and lowers if your connection cuts out. Their betting interfaces are all perfectly optimized for mobile play, even on fiddly titles like roulette.
The lobby system is also a treat on mobile. It’s essentially a carbon copy of the Evolution lobby design – which is no bad thing.
You can even try the dual-table play feature on mobile if you so wish, although you’ll need a decent size screen and a stable connection to make it work.
